Following a successful MGKA2007, the national coronation is brought back to Sydney NSW. Bianca Lucas, the reigning MGKA2007 winner will lead the launching of the event this coming 21 June 2008 preceding another milestone launching of GK1MB.

A new committee was formed to organize the national coronation which will be led by the perennial head of MGKA event, Marcy Mission. This time, however, Manny and Jean Medel will be in charge of the coroanation event whilst Marcy lead the committee in promoting the contest. The members of this committee are the same members of the Marketing Committee: Carina Garcia, Linda Esguerra, Edna Longhurst, Raul and Maricel Manongdo, Gerry and Josie Musa, Marcy & Susan Mission, Dom & Josie Pangilinan and Danny & Zeny Mendoza.

New operating guidelines and rules of the contest are currently being reviewed by the team.
