GK or Gawad Kalinga which means to give care is a global movement that comprehensively transforms slums and disaster-stricken areas in poor economies into viable, sustainable communities. GK started in the Philippines but has now found its way in other countries such as Cambodia, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, Africa and the ground-works have been laid out for East Timor and South America.
